PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vim Fweigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Chupacabra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fweigo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Firestarter- The Prodigy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fweigo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fweigo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chupacabra shoots in for a takedown but Fweigo shows good takedown defense.
Fweigo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chupacabra throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Chupacabra lands an uppercut.
Chupacabra tries to work over Fweigo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Fweigo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chupacabra has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Chupacabra shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fweigo pinned against the cage. Fweigo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fweigo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

El Chupacabra has got the better of the ground game so far.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chupacabra connects with a nice short shot to Fweigo's temple.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fweigo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chupacabra looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
