Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Galvao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hellwig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Galvao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Hellwig!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellwig misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Galvao.
Hellwig throws a series of punches but Galvao avoids them all with ease.
Hellwig misses with a looping right.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hellwig throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Galvao will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Galvao shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hellwig pinned against the cage. Hellwig gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Galvao looks for a takedown but Hellwig sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Galvao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Galvao gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hellwig to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hellwig distracts Galvao with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hellwig postures up.
Hellwig trying to stand up but can't free himself from Galvao's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hellwig drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hellwig jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hellwig stands up and waves to Galvao to follow him.
Galvao swats away the attempt to clinch by Hellwig.
Andre Galvao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Galvao fails with the takedown
so Hellwig counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hellwig passes into half guard.
It looks like Hellwig is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hellwig is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Galvao is just riding it out for now. Hellwig eventually gives up the hold.
Hellwig is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Galvao still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Galvao has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Galvao tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Galvao has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hellwig wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Hellwig is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Galvao has hold of Hellwig's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hellwig tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Galvao cranks the arm and Hellwig screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hellwig, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Andre Galvao!
