Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francois Marie Arouet!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arouet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stevenson tries to avoid it but Arouet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stevenson to the ground. Stevenson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stevenson throws a sloppy head kick and Arouet moves out of range easily.
Arouet tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Arouet somewhat.
Arouet looks for a takedown but Stevenson sprawls well.
Josh Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francois Marie Arouet.
Stevenson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stevenson.
Stevenson misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arouet looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stevenson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arouet fails to land the takedown.
Arouet misses with a takedown attempt - Stevenson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Arouet shoots in looking for a takedown. Stevenson tries to sprawl out of it but Arouet keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stevenson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stevenson lands a left and a right that send Arouet crashing to the mat, dazed. Stevenson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Arouet is rocked!
It looks like Francois Marie Arouet has been cut.
Arouet looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevenson lands with a big right hook that stumbles Arouet - he's out on his feet here! Stevenson follows up with another monster hook that separates Arouet from consciousness! Arouet falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Stevenson stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Josh Stevenson!
