The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey shoots in but Matsumoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.

It looks like Dorian Grey has been cut.
Grey shoots in for a double leg but Matsumoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matsumoto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Matsumoto lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Grey down.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Grey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Grey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Matsumoto's guard.
Matsumoto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Matsumoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grey is looking to escape.
Grey has hold of Matsumoto's hands but Matsumoto slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Matsumoto is nestled in close to Grey, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Grey is still in real trouble! Can Matsumoto finish him?
Matsumoto in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Grey tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Matsumoto!
