Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kim Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haven has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. James Haven has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kim Woo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Haven! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo looks to land a right hand but Haven moved out of range. Woo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Woo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like James Haven has been cut. Woo scores with a one two! Haven had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Haven looks gassed! Woo takes a body punch but keeps moving. Haven throws a front kick aimed at Woo's knee but Woo avoids it well. Woo swinging wildly here.

Kim Woo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haven walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Woo throws a series of punches but Haven moves out of range. Haven scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Woo doesn't seem bothered though. Haven throws a one two combo.

Woo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Haven is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Woo to the mat. Woo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Woo kicks Haven off and gets to his feet. Woo misses with a double jab

and Haven holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Haven wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woo has him pressed against the cage. Woo breaks the clinch.

Woo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Haven cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Haven works the jab nicely. Woo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Woo duly obliges. A left and a right from Haven both land. Nice combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Haven will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on James Haven's cut. That's time! Woo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Haven tries to close the distance and clinch but Woo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Woo tries to clinch up but Haven circles away and keeps his distance. Woo misses with a double jab

and Haven moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haven prevents Woo from breaking the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Haven has Woo pressed against the cage, preventing Woo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haven is trying to drag Woo to the mat but Woo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Haven tries to break free but Woo pushes him back against the cage. Woo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Haven makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Woo throws a right hand that Haven ducks under and follows up with a left that Haven also avoids with ease. Haven lands a head kick. Woo smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Haven is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Woo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Haven has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haven shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Woo is trying to defend but Haven finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Still in half guard, Haven seems content to control. Woo wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haven wants to take a breather but Woo is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Woo regains full guard. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Haven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on James Haven's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Woo misses with a takedown and Haven counters with a takedown into side control. Haven tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Woo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Woo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Haven's best efforts. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Haven takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Woo has one foot on Haven's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. No joy there for Woo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Haven doesn't manage to clinch there - Woo circles away.

Woo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Haven is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Haven closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Haven breaks the clinch.

Haven lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Haven is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Woo rather than just go for the knockout. Woo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Some wild striking there from Woo.
Woo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Haven. Woo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Haven counters with a two punch combo. Woo throws a series of punches but Haven moves out of range. Haven lands a nice leg kick that just misses Woo's sensitive parts. Haven avoids a punch combination nicely.
Haven scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Woo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Kim Woo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Haven is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Haven slips a jab and a cross from Woo.
