The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hamaka throws a series of punches but NNNOOO avoids them all with ease.
Hamaka misses with a two punch combination.
NNNOOO fails with the takedown.
Hamaka throws a right and a left that NNNOOO avoids nicely.

NNNOOO shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hamaka's guard.
Hamaka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as NNNOOO controls the pace.

NNNOOO trying to control the position from guard on top but Hamaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
NNNOOO is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hamaka wants to stand and escape but NNNOOO is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

NNNOOO postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hamaka is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of NNNOOO, into his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
NNNOOO wants to sweep here but Hamaka controlling him for the moment.
Hamaka wants to stand and escape but instead NNNOOO has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
NNNOOO wants to control from the top but Hamaka keeps moving.

NNNOOO is stalling in the full guard.

NNNOOO slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by YYEESS NNNOOO.
NNNOOO shoots in for a double leg but Hamaka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hamaka misses with a few strikes there.
Hamaka tries a head kick but it misses.
Hamaka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but NNNOOO circles away quickly and effectively.
Hamaka throws a head kick but NNNOOO moves out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for Hamaka.
NNNOOO looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benson Hamaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of YYEESS NNNOOO.
Hamaka misses with a series of wild punches.

Hamaka gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows NNNOOO to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
NNNOOO stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hamaka swivels though and keeps the full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Hamaka misses with an uppercut. NNNOOO saw that one coming.
Hamaka tries to bum rush NNNOOO with a series of wild strikes but NNNOOO uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hamaka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hamaka throws a push kick but NNNOOO slaps the foot to one side.
Hamaka misses with a few strikes there.

The fighters circling - Hamaka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A combination from Hamaka does no damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from NNNOOO.

Hamaka wants to clinch.
NNNOOO cracks Hamaka with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
