Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Stumps! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brijwanth J! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by J. Beautiful body shot. Stumps fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stumps shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. J keeps the fight on the outside. Stumps closes the distance and clinches up with J, looking for a takedown. Stumps pushes J against the ropes but J circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Stumps wants to clinch up but J keeps it at a distance. Stumps fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcolm Stumps. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Stumps, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stumps takes a body punch but keeps moving. Stumps uses good head movement to avoid the hook from J. J looks to land a left hand but Stumps moved out of range nicely. Malcolm Stumps seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stumps steps to the side to avoid the strikes from J. Stumps tries to close the distance and clinch up but J swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by J!
That's one minute gone in the round. J tries to bum rush Stumps with a series of wild strikes but Stumps uses good footwork to avoid the assault. J swats away the attempt to clinch by Stumps. J misses with a jab, cross combination.
J throws a series of strikes that have Stumps backpedaling.

Stumps looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. J lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stumps is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stumps fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stumps has a takedown stuffed. J keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. J avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stumps dives in and grabs J's left leg, looking for a takedown. J pushes down on Stumps's head and hops out. Stumps throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. J was covering up waiting for the punch and Stumps finishes the takedown easily into guard. J wants to get back to his feet but Stumps is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stumps wants to control from the top but J keeps moving. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Stumps stops J from standing up. J looks gassed! Stumps postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stumps trying to control the position from guard on top but J is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. J wants to get back to his feet but Stumps is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stumps is looking to clinch but J is avoiding it.
Stumps shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stumps was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stumps trying to control but J is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Stumps looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Stumps looking to finish J with some ground and pound. This is bad for J! J really wants to buck Stumps off and get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. J is bucking up trying to escape but Stumps cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stumps cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stumps throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! J has his hands clasped together but Stumps breaks the hold and J is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Stumps!
