Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichigo Kurosagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimbo Sambo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sambo fails to land the takedown.
Sambo tries to clinch but Kurosagi moves out of range.
Sambo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kurosagi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sambo moves in looking to clinch but Kurosagi pushes him off.
Kurosagi swats away the attempt to clinch by Sambo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sambo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sambo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kurosagi as he jumps to the side.
Kimbo Sambo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kurosagi swats away the attempt to clinch by Sambo.
Kurosagi slips a jab and a cross from Sambo.
Sambo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sambo tries to close the distance and clinch but Kurosagi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sambo closes the distance and clinches up with Kurosagi, looking for a takedown. Sambo pushes Kurosagi against the cage but Kurosagi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbo Sambo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kurosagi stuffs the takedown attempt from Sambo. Sambo gets slowly back to his feet.
Sambo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sambo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kurosagi circles away.

Kurosagi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Kurosagi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sambo's guard.

Sambo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kurosagi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sambo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kurosagi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kurosagi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kurosagi tries to pass to full mount but Sambo defends it.
Sambo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kurosagi is looking to advance position but Sambo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Sambo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kurosagi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kurosagi is desperately trying to improve his position but Sambo has a good base and remains in mount.
Kurosagi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kurosagi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sambo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sambo's back!
Kurosagi is persistently looking for the submission but Sambo is defending it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Ichigo Kurosagi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kurosagi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kurosagi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sambo has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kurosagi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kurosagi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sambo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kurosagi but great work by Sambo.
Sambo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A combination from Sambo does no damage.
Sambo tries to clinch but Kurosagi is having none of it.
Sambo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kurosagi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kurosagi.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kurosagi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sambo's guard.
Sambo is pressing down on Kurosagi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sambo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kurosagi manages to get himself to full guard.
Kurosagi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sambo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kurosagi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sambo's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sambo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kurosagi gets his way!

Sambo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kurosagi's guard. Nice work there by Sambo.
Kurosagi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sambo uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sambo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kurosagi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kurosagi tries to bench press Sambo off him but Sambo keeps the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
