Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Murilo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Galahad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro comes to the cage accompanied by Dream Theater - Forsaken. Galahad has chosen Apaga mais não bate as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Murilo Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galahad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ribeiro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick misses from Galahad.
Galahad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to avoid it but Galahad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribeiro to the ground. Ribeiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ribeiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ribeiro wants it to stay on the feet.
Murilo Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Galahad.
Ribeiro moves into the clinch.

Ribeiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Galahad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Galahad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ribeiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Galahad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ribeiro is trying to improve his position.
Galahad working the ground and pound but Ribeiro is defending the strikes.
Ribeiro tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Galahad presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Galahad is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ribeiro is desperately trying to improve his position but Galahad has a good base and remains in mount.
Ribeiro regains half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Galahad is trying to work for a kimura but Ribeiro is defending well.

Galahad is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Galahad manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ribeiro to take his back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Galahad scores with strikes from the back.

Galahad doesn't have the hooks in and Ribeiro manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ribeiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Galahad is keeping the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribeiro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Galahad is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Galahad throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Murilo Ribeiro will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Galahad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ribeiro but Ribeiro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Galahad.
Galahad gets caught flat footed, as Ribeiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ribeiro passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ribeiro passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Galahad!
Ribeiro blocks Galahad's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Ribeiro moves to the back.
Galahad is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ribeiro gets his way!

Ribeiro is trying to stick to Galahad's back but Galahad is turning into Ribeiro. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ribeiro's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Galahad.
Galahad is looking to work some ground and pound but Ribeiro has wrist control.
Ribeiro lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Galahad!

Ribeiro looking to isolate an arm here. Galahad doesn't see it coming and as Ribeiro extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Ribeiro!
