Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ginger Ayl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ayl might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to white lighting. Scott Summers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ginger Ayl's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ginger Ayl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Summers! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ayl fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Scott Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ayl fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Summers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ayl is trying to stand up here but Summers is controlling him well. Ayl on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ayl tries to get out of the position. Summers wants to free his trapped foot but Ayl is holding on for dear life with his legs. Summers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ayl defends it well. Summers is looking to advance position but Ayl won't allow it. Summers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ayl is just riding it out for now. Summers eventually gives up the hold. Summers wants to pass the guard but Ayl is defending well. Ayl is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ayl doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Summers.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ayl fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fight stays on the outside here - Summers looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Summers fails in his attempt to clinch. Summers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Summers moves into the clinch. Ayl takes a knee to the side of the body. Ayl lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Ayl lands with a short head shot on the inside. Summers looks gassed! Summers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ayl is defending well for now. Ayl softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Summers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ayl walks away with a smile on his face. Summers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ayl looks for a takedown but Summers sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ginger Ayl. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ayl will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Summers misses its intended target. Summers wants to clinch. Summers moves in looking to clinch but Ayl pushes him off. Summers takes the fight into the clinch. Ayl blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A short right from Ayl on the inside. Summers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Summers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Ayl wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving. Ayl pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Summers is keeping the position for now. Ayl sitting in guard here, content to control. Ayl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. That's three minutes gone in the round. Ayl trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Summers wants to sweep here but Ayl controlling him for the moment. Ayl would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Summers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Summers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ayl paws at him with a jab and circles away. Summers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ayl fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Summers avoids it really well and circles away. Ayl feints and as Summers raises his hands in defense, Ayl changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ayl is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ayl trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ayl slips nicely into half guard. Ayl looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Summers wants to get back to full guard. Summers is pressing down on Ayl's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ayl controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Summers is trying to control the position but Ayl postures up. Ayl sitting in guard here, content to control. Summers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ayl stays in close to Summers's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ginger Ayl will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ayl gets through Summers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Summers takes a shot to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Ayl. Ayl lands a hook that snaps the head of Summers backwards. Summers is breathing heavily. Ayl content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Summers moves in looking to clinch but Ayl pushes him off. Ayl bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Summers's head. Ayl throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Summers was covering up waiting for the punch and Ayl finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ayl sitting in guard here, content to control. Ayl passes Summers's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ayl tries to pass to full mount but Summers defends it. Summers is looking to control Ayl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Summers avoid being mounted? Ayl has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ayl controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ayl's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Summers tries to reverse the position but Ayl maintains control. Summers regains half guard. Summers wants to control but Ayl is keeping busy.

Ayl looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Summers tries to get to full guard but Ayl has control of the leg. Well, if Ayl is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ayl stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Summers closes the distance looking to clinch and Summers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ayl displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ayl circles away from the clinch attempt and Ayl counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ayl working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Summers's head. Summers looking for a sweep. Not yet Summers, not yet. Ayl slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ayl is looking to stand up but Summers won't let him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ayl drops back looking for a leg! Summers is in trouble here! Ginger Ayl dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Summers tries to clinch up but Ayl circles away and keeps his distance. Summers wants to clinch letting Ayl counter with a right hand. Summers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ayl but Ayl pushes him off and we're back to square one. Summers fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ayl's corner is telling him to maintain position. Summers keeping full guard, as Ayl tries to pass. Ayl wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving. Ayl decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Summers, up you get! Ayl slips a jab and a cross from Summers.
Ayl throws a nice inside leg kick. Summers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ayl clinches with his opponent.

Ayl lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Summers backwards. Ginger Ayl is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Ayl pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ayl throws a leg kick but Summers sees it coming and moves out of range. Ayl pushes Summers back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Summers throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ayl blocks it with crossed arms. Ayl stalling the fight.
Summers tries to land knees in the clinch but Ayl avoids the damage to the body. Ayl is pushing Summers up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Summers fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ayl dives in and grabs Summers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Summers pushes down on Ayl's head and hops out. Ayl throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Summers to counter with a crisp jab. A jab from Summers finds it's way through Ayl's defenses. Summers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ayl swats him away and circles back towards the center. Summers tries to clinch up. Scott Summers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ayl scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Summers looks to land a right hand but Ayl moved out of range. Summers closes the distance looking to clinch and Ayl counters by clinching up. Ayl prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ayl softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Summers takes a shot to the head. Summers tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ayl smiles and moves away.
Summers slaps away a takedown attempt from Ayl, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ayl cracks Summers with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Summers gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ayl. Ayl throws a sloppy head kick and Summers moves out of range easily. Ayl avoids the body shot from Summers.
Ayl ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Summers misses with a combination
and Ayl counters with a two punch combo.
And that's the end of the fight! Ginger Ayl showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ayl has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
