Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos da Guia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoppsan Barley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Guia comes to the cage accompanied by Saturate - Chemical Brothers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos da Guia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hoppsan Barley! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but da Guia moves out of range and avoids them all easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Barley. da Guia throws a head kick but Barley moves out of range.
Barley tries to close the distance and clinch up but da Guia swats him away and circles back towards the center. da Guia tries to close the distance and clinch but Barley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barley throws a sloppy head kick and da Guia counters with a flying knee. Nice. Barley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Barley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Barley trying to control but da Guia is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barley prevents da Guia from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barley pushing down on da Guia's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Barley wants to work for an arm triangle but da Guia is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Barley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. da Guia is trying to stand up here but Barley is controlling him well. Barley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. da Guia holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Barley tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Barley sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barley controlling the position easily from mount. Barley with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barley scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Barley throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Barley controlling from the full mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. da Guia trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hoppsan Barley dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Barley throws a head kick that misses. Barley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Barley works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The ground and pound from Barley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Barley trying to control the action but da Guia is working from the bottom. da Guia parries the strikes from Barley easily there. Barley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable da Guia to escape.
da Guia dodges the ground and pound from Barley. Barley stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Guia tries to close the distance and clinch but Barley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barley lands a head kick. da Guia smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Carlos da Guia has been cut. Barley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barley looks to land a combination but da Guia avoids it well. da Guia forces Barley back against the cage and clinches. Barley manages to break the clinch.
Barley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and da Guia moves into the clinch. da Guia throws a knee to the head but misses.
Barley can't break the clinch.
da Guia keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Barley's efforts to push away. Barley is trying to force a seperation but da Guia has the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. da Guia keeps control of Barley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. da Guia tries to stall but Barley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Barley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but da Guia has him pressed against the cage. Barley is trying to break free. Barley gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, da Guia regains guard.
Barley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Barley happy to just control the position for now. da Guia takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. da Guia is not content to let Barley control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. da Guia wants to get back to his feet but Barley drags him back down. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Barley working the ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on da Guia's face as Barley controls the position. da Guia takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. da Guia is trying to get back to his feet. Barley controlling the position. Barley postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Barley taking a breather here. Barley misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hoppsan Barley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Carlos da Guia's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
da Guia avoids a punch combination nicely.
da Guia throws a lazy head kick and Barley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A head kick misses from Barley. da Guia gets caught flat footed, as Barley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Barley's corner is telling him to maintain position. Barley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Barley throwing strikes but missing. Barley content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barley trying to control but da Guia is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hoppsan Barley. da Guia wants to clinch. Barley scores with a takedown into da Guia's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Barley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. da Guia is keeping the position for now. Hoppsan Barley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barley stays in close to da Guia's body and controls the position. Hoppsan Barley has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hoppsan Barley. Barley misses with a takedown attempt - da Guia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A thudding body kick lands there by Barley!
Barley lands a nice shot that snaps da Guia's head back.
da Guia wants to clinch and Barley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Barley. da Guia being controlled here, momentarily. Barley pushes down on da Guia's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Hoppsan Barley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Barley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
