Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silent Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifford Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silent Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clifford Harris!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Harris!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harris can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bob is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Harris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Harris trying to mount his opponent but Bob defends it.
Harris is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Bob manages to get to full guard.
Harris wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bob misses with a takedown attempt

and Harris counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Harris is looking to stall here but Bob recovers full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bob uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Harris moves into the clinch.
Harris is stalling here.
Bob is trying to drag Harris to the mat but Harris just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Harris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bob walks away with a smile on his face. Harris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris with a poor takedown

and Bob decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harris's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris looks gassed!

Bob gets to his feet. Harris looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Harris throws a nice looking combination but Bob bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Harris fails with the takedown

and Bob counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Harris!
Silent Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clifford Harris.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bob get's back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bob doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Harris wants to pass the guard but Bob is keeping the position.
Harris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bob wriggles free and stands up.

Bob gets a takedown into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harris is trying to control but Bob passes into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silent Bob dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bob shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily.

Harris shoots in and bounces Bob off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bob pushes Harris off and gets back to his feet.
Bob fails with the takedown

and Harris counters by moving into the clinch.
Bob tries to land knees in the clinch but Harris avoids the damage to the body.
Harris leaning his opponent against the cage.
Harris is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob tries to break the clinch but Harris is controlling the position.
Harris blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Harris can't get the takedown.

Bob has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Harris regains guard immediately.
Bob won't allow Harris to sweep him here.

Harris looking for subs off his back but Bob has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bob decides to stand and escape the position.
Bob shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silent Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bob keeping full guard, as Harris tries to pass.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris won't allow Bob to get back to his feet.

Bob uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Bob shoots for a takedown but Harris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Harris rushes Bob and presses him up against the cage.

Bob pulls guard effortlessly.
Harris lands a couple of elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bob is keeping the position for now.
Silent Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bob has his feet on Harris's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Bob shoots in and bounces Harris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Harris looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bob passes into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Silent Bob will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bob is defended easily by Harris.

Bob shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Harris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bob gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Silent Bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harris with a poor takedown

and Bob counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bob prevents Harris from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bob stands up and waves to Harris to follow him.
Bob misses with a takedown

and Harris moves into the clinch.
Bob is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harris pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silent Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bob tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Harris decides to pull guard.
Bob won't allow Harris to sweep him here.

Harris has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bob is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Harris.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris struggling a bit here.
Harris tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bob wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Harris looks to move to half guard but instead Bob has passed into mount! Damn!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bob stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Bob shoots in but no luck this time.

Bob shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Harris trying to control the position.
Harris working a defensive guard but Bob passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
Harris wants to control but Bob passes into side.
Harris bucks up and tries to throw Bob off but instead Bob has got his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Silent Bob showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
