Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Podogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Vilela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vilela's choice of entrance music: Muse - Uprising. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leandro Podogo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jose Vilela! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vilela doesn't manage to clinch there - Podogo circles away.
Vilela throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A punch combination from Vilela misses. Some wild striking there from Vilela.
Vilela tries to close the distance and clinch but Podogo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Vilela looks to land a combination but Podogo avoids it well. Jose Vilela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Vilela.
Vilela swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Podogo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Podogo passes the guard and advances to mount! Podogo controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podogo working for a submission but Vilela is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Vilela is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Vilela is desperately trying to improve his position but Podogo has a good base and remains in mount. Podogo controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Podogo fails to advance to Vilela's back. Vilela holds of for dear life.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Podogo controlling his opponent. Podogo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Vilela really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Podogo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vilela has given up his back here.
Good control from Podogo. Podogo doesn't have the hooks in and Vilela manages to turn into his guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Leandro Podogo. Vilela lands a head kick. Podogo smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Vilela lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Vilela lands a two punch combo.
Vilela looks gassed! Vilela throws a right and a left that Podogo avoids nicely. Podogo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vilela's waist but Vilela gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Podogo off to one side. Podogo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jose Vilela will probably get the nod. That's time! Podogo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Podogo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Vilela! Vilela wants to hold on but Podogo pushes him away. Podogo content just to control the position here. Podogo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vilela is looking to escape. Podogo controlling the position easily from mount. Vilela is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podogo controlling from the full mount. Vilela tries to reverse the position but Podogo maintains control. Podogo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Vilela has worked his arm free - good work by Vilela!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Podogo advances to mount. Vilela is squirming around, avoiding Podogo's attempts to control the action. Vilela's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Podogo forces the positional change into back control. A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vilela is really stuck here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vilela just trying to survive but Podogo is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Podogo controlling the position well here. Vilela rolled but Podogo kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Podogo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vilela for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vilela fending off the submission attempt from Podogo. Podogo biding his time, controlling Vilela. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Leandro Podogo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Vilela tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vilela throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Vilela connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jose Vilela is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vilela throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Podogo. Vilela doesn't manage to clinch there - Podogo circles away.
Vilela throws a low kick but Podogo avoids it. Vilela misses with a few strikes there.

Podogo is looking to land body kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Podogo slips a jab and a cross from Vilela.
Vilela takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Podogo gets a takedown into half guard. Podogo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podogo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Podogo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vilela is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
