The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big Baby changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rothgard tries to avoid it but Big Baby manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rothgard to the ground. Rothgard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rothgard lands a head kick. Big Baby smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Big Baby misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rothgard stuffs the takedown.
Lewis Rothgard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Big Baby.
Rothgard shoots in for a double leg but Big Baby sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Big Baby counters with a single leg into guard. Rothgard didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rothgard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rothgard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Big Baby is refusing to be controlled, as Rothgard sits in half guard.

Big Baby has a hand on Rothgard's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Rothgard takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Rothgard breaks from Big Baby's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Big Baby tries to improve his position but Rothgard has taken his back! Rothgard has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Big Baby tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Rothgard pushes Big Baby away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
