Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Oppenheimer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, tony skins! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! skins checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. skins wants to clinch up but Oppenheimer keeps it at a distance. Oppenheimer avoids the body shot from skins.
skins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Oppenheimer as he jumps to the side. skins misses with a takedown attempt - Oppenheimer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oppenheimer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. skins is trying to maintain the position but Oppenheimer is very close to passing his half guard. Oppenheimer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. skins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer is looking for a kimura but skins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Oppenheimer to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oppenheimer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. skins is trying to maintain the position but Oppenheimer is very close to passing his half guard. Nice strikes from Oppenheimer there. Oppenheimer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, skins has managed to free his arm - good work. Oppenheimer is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Oppenheimer throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. skins regains half guard. Oppenheimer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. skins defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oppenheimer trying to mount his opponent but skins defends it. Oppenheimer stops skins from getting back to his feet.
skins tries to roll over but Oppenheimer keeps him under control. Oppenheimer thows a huge punch but skins dodges it nicely.
skins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Oppenheimer is working away from the top position though. Oppenheimer is stalling here. skins is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Oppenheimer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and skins has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Oppenheimer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. skins throws a strike aimed at the side of Oppenheimer's head but Oppenheimer avoids it well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. skins blocks a head kick by Oppenheimer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oppenheimer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. skins holds on to Oppenheimer's head and controls the position momentarily. Oppenheimer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Oppenheimer throwing shots but missing, from side control. Oppenheimer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Oppenheimer lands a few punches from side control. skins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Oppenheimer not doing much here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. skins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for skins. Oppenheimer wants to pass the guard but skins is keeping the position. skins wants to stand up but Oppenheimer is controlling him. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. skins looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Oppenheimer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Oppenheimer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oppenheimer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in skins's guard. skins trying to keep a closed guard but Oppenheimer is proving a slippery customer.
Oppenheimer is in close to skins's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's five minutes gone in the round. skins keeping full guard, as Oppenheimer tries to pass. skins manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Oppenheimer closes the distance and clinches. Oppenheimer jumps guard but skins stands there with Oppenheimer around his waist. Oppenheimer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
skins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oppenheimer walks away with a smile on his face. skins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Robert Oppenheimer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tony skins. Oppenheimer swats away the attempt to clinch by skins. skins lands a jab to the nose. Oppenheimer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? skins is fending him off so far but Oppenheimer persists. Nope, skins circles away and we're back to standing. Oppenheimer throws a half hearted mid kick. skins misses with a wild combination.
skins with a poor takedown and Oppenheimer counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Oppenheimer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as skins walks away with a smile on his face. Oppenheimer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. skins shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Oppenheimer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in skins's guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Oppenheimer throws a big right hand that misses. Oppenheimer wants to control from the top but skins keeps moving. Oppenheimer passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Oppenheimer is keen to just control but skins is a slippery customer. Oppenheimer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Oppenheimer is breathing heavily. skins wants to control but Oppenheimer is keeping busy and won't allow it. Oppenheimer seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. skins is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
