Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oakley Bark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bark might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bring Um Out. Washington has chosen Back in Black-AC/DC as his entrance music. Oakley Bark had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamar Washington!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bark checks a low kick from Washington.
Bark scores with a crisp jab that stopped Washington in his tracks.
Bark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Washington.
Washington finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Washington was well out of range. Poor timing from Bark.
Washington moves away from the strike by Bark.
Washington wants to clinch up but Bark keeps it at a distance.
Bark shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Washington as he jumps to the side.
Bark lands a glancing blow to the side of Washington's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bark misses with an uppercut.
Lamar Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Washington misses with a two punch combination.
Washington buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bark is defended easily by Washington.
Bark on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Bark looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Washington with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Bark fails with a takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Washington wants to improve his position but Bark is controlling well.
Bark is pressing down on Washington's thigh, looking to free his foot. Washington is holding on for now.

Bark seems to be working for a kimura but Washington defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bark is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bark jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Washington manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Bark tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bark has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Washington manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Washington is controlling the pace.
Washington throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Washington throws a head kick but Bark moves out of range.
Bark on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Washington. Washington obviously looking to wear him down.
Bark throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Washington misses with a looping left.
Bark swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bark takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lamar Washington is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Washington chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Washington looks for the body kick but Bark saw that one coming.
Washington throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Bark counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Bark passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Washington!

Bark is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Washington has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Washington can't escape the position.

Bark is working for a guillotine from mount but Washington frees his head quite easily.
Washington wants to hold on but Bark pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bark with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Washington is in all sorts of trouble here.

Bark moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Washington has worked his arm free - good work by Washington!

Bark is looking to take a break and control but Washington is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bark thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Oakley Bark will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Washington is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Washington is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bark rather than just go for the knockout.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Washington.

Washington lands with a hook. Bark tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Washington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bark circles away quickly and effectively.

and Bark counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bark shoots in and drives through. Washington sprawls well.

Bark bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Washington's head backwards.
Bark avoids the body shot from Washington.
Bark throws a body punch but Washington moves out of range.
Washington throws a leg kick but Bark moved away.
Washington misses the shot to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Washington lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bark has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bark and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

No joy there for Washington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bark is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bark moves out of range of the leg kick from Washington.
A head kick misses from Washington.
Bark moves out of range as Washington throws a body kick.
Washington throws a chopping leg kick but Bark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Decent striking displayed by Bark there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bark is defended easily by Washington.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bark crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Washington - the referee stops the clock and Bark gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Washington. Bark manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Washington misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bark fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Washington avoids it really well and circles away.
Crunch! Washington slams his shin into Bark's torso.
Washington throws a leg kick but Bark sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Washington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lamar Washington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Washington has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
