Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between KO Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giant has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Da Giant is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, KO Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Da Giant!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Kane has hold of Giant's hands but Giant slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Giant slips a nice elbow through Kane's hands, connecting with Kane's forehead.

Giant stands up out of the half guard.

Kane throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Giant's head.
Giant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kane tries to close the distance and clinch but Giant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Giant shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Giant showed some decent athleticism there.
Giant drops an elbow to the side of Kane's head.

Giant is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Giant passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kane!
Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giant on the ground.

Giant's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Giant is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kane can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Giant is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kane has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kane is desperately trying to improve his position but Giant has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Giant manages to capitalize on a mistake by Kane to take his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Giant perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Giant thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kane is trying to get back to half guard.

Giant working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Giant is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Let's hope that Giant has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Giant has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kane. That's going to slow Giant down.
Giant swats away the attempt to clinch by Kane.

Kane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Giant moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Giant moves into the clinch successfully.
Giant takes an elbow to the temple.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kane just misses with a elbow thrown towards Giant's brow.
Kane tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Kane.
Giant working some nice short punches in the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Kane throws an elbow but misses.

Kane is pressed up against the cage. Giant has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kane down to the mat. Kane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kane wants to clinch but Giant slips to the side

and Giant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kane's guard.

Kane is trying to keep Giant in close.

Kane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Giant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Da Giant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Giant is working away from the top position though.
Giant content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Giant is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Giant takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Giant not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kane wants to get back to full guard.

Giant is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kane is trying to stand.
Giant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kane keeps working.
Kane wants to control but Giant is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Giant prevents Kane from standing back up.

Giant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kane closes the distance looking to clinch

and Giant counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kane will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kane is trying to keep Giant in close.
Kane wants to sweep but no luck.

Giant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Giant passes Kane's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Giant seems to be looking for submissions.
Da Giant is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Giant is working away from the top position though.
Giant wants to stand up but Kane is controlling the position.
Giant wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Giant has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kane lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Giant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
KO Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
KO Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick from Kane lands but Giant takes it in his stride.
KO Kane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Da Giant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Giant winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
