Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Ennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roke Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roke Junior will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Ennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roke Junior! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ennis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ennis is looking to advance position but Junior won't allow it. Ennis passes the guard and advances to mount! Ennis wants to control the pace but Junior is squirming around nicely. Ennis goes for an armbar but Junior turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Junior. Junior content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior wants to control from the top but Ennis keeps moving. Ennis looking for a sweep. Not yet Ennis, not yet. Ennis keeping moving, preventing Junior from controlling successfully. Junior slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ennis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ennis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ennis looking to ground and pound but Junior is blocking nicely. Poor strikes thrown by Ennis there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Junior tries to reverse the position but Ennis maintains control. Junior stops Ennis from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Ennis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ennis wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Ennis jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Junior manages to avoid the submission attempt. Ennis is looking to take a break and control but Junior is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Junior's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ennis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Junior knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ennis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ennis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Junior works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Ennis works his way into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Ennis dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ennis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Junior as he jumps to the side. Ennis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Junior manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ennis cracks Junior with a solid left hand. Ennis wants to pass the guard but Junior is keeping the position. Junior keeping moving, preventing Ennis from controlling successfully. Junior trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ennis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ennis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Junior swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ennis trying to move into half guard but instead Junior has managed to sweep! Ennis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Junior is aware though and is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ennis fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ennis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Junior sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Ennis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Junior scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior taking a breather here. Let's hope that Junior has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ennis tries to bench press Junior off him but Junior keeps the position. Ennis is not content to let Junior control the position. Junior tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ennis's legs. Junior in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Roke Junior. Ennis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ennis prevents Junior from improving his position. Ennis wants to pass to mount but Junior is defending the position. Junior wants to control but Ennis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ennis is working for a kimura but Junior is defending it quite comfortably.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Junior shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Junior showed some decent athleticism there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Roke Junior will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Ennis shoots and misses and Junior counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Junior. Ennis wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Junior wants to control from the top but Ennis keeps moving. Junior slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Junior trying to control but Ennis is working from the bottom. Ennis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Junior is one step ahead there. Junior trying to control but Ennis is working from the bottom. Ennis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ennis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Junior counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ennis keeping moving, preventing Junior from controlling successfully. Junior is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Junior trying to control but Ennis is working from the bottom.
