The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters looks to land a right hand but Swagger moved out of range.
Swagger closes the distance and clinches up with Winters, looking for a takedown. Swagger pushes Winters against the cage but Winters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Winters throws out a loose jab but Swagger uses good head movement to avoid it.

Winters throws a shot from downtown. Swagger moves away and avoids it.

Swagger moves forwards but Winters connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Winters lands with an uppercut that bounces Swagger off the cage and back into rage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Swagger. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Swagger manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Swagger seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Winters is holding on tight.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Swagger looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Winters!
Swagger is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Winters to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Winters shrugs it off.
Swagger tries to control but Winters wriggling away.
Swagger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Winters manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sammy Swagger will probably get the nod.

Swagger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Winters's waist but Winters gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swagger off to one side.

Winters might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Winters throws a right and a left that Swagger avoids nicely.

Swagger lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Winters backwards.

Swagger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Winters defends it easily.
