Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Puma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnathan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnathan Ross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ross shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Puma manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ross is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ross working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ross wants to control from the top but Puma keeps moving.
Ross is looking to stand up but Puma won't let him.
Ross tries to free his leg and advance position but Puma is retaining full guard.
Puma on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Puma tries to get out of the position.
Ross seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Puma knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ross on the ground.
Ross advances position into side control!

Ross decides to stand back up.
Puma lands a nice looking body shot.

Puma instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ross looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Ross jumps guard but Puma stands there with Ross around his waist. Ross gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Puma - that landed with a thud.
Ross looks gassed!
Ross tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Puma breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ross is looking to land body kicks.
Ross closes the distance and clinches up with Puma, looking for a takedown. Ross pushes Puma against the cage but Puma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnny Puma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnathan Ross.
Puma thows a body shot but no joy.
Puma scores with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Puma catches Ross with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Johnathan Ross has been cut.
Puma dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Puma fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ross on the side of the head.
Puma cracks a nice hook into Ross's ribs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Puma looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Puma is looking to wear down Ross with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ross walks into a straight right hand from Puma.

Puma gets a clinch.
Ross prevents Puma from breaking the clinch.
Ross is trying to maintain a safe position but Puma gets an underhook and turns Ross into the cage.

Puma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Puma thows a body shot but no joy.
Puma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ross moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ross takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A nice combination there by Puma.

That has opened up Johnathan Ross's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Puma takes a swing at Ross's ribcage but misses.
Ross fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnny Puma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Puma displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ross.
Puma throws a shot to the body.
Puma slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ross takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Puma lands a jab to the nose.

The cut above Johnathan Ross's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ross takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Puma drives through and clinches with Ross against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Puma's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Puma manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Johnathan Ross's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Puma lands a lovely overhand right.
Puma scores with a one two! Ross had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Johnathan Ross's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Ross clinches but Puma breaks the clinch
and Puma counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Johnathan Ross's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
