Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Elliot's choice of entrance music: BRET HART. Elliot has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Elliot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Elliot looks gassed!
Silva wants to clinch up but Elliot keeps it at a distance.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Elliot fights it but they end up in guard.
Silva postures up and lands a big shot to Elliot's brow.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Elliot is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Elliot manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Elliot's guard.
Elliot has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva lands a couple of digs.
Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Elliot screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!
