Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Urist McPain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, BCE POBHO!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPain throws a head kick but POBHO moves out of range.

POBHO scores with a takedown into McPain's guard.

POBHO drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and POBHO jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
POBHO is pushing down on McPain's leg trying to pass to half guard. McPain is fighting to maintain full guard but POBHO has managed to sneak the leg through.

POBHO is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McPain has managed to free his arm - good work.

POBHO wants to work for an arm triangle but McPain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

POBHO is looking for a kimura but McPain is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for POBHO to get the leverage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
POBHO wants to free his trapped foot but McPain is holding on for dear life with his legs.

POBHO is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McPain defends it well.
POBHO looks gassed!

POBHO is trying to work for a kimura but McPain is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
POBHO stops McPain from getting back to his feet.

POBHO is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McPain is just riding it out for now. POBHO eventually gives up the hold.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McPain is trying to stand.

POBHO is trying to work for a kimura but McPain is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
McPain throws a nice head kick!
McPain moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like BCE POBHO has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
POBHO takes a head kick and keeps coming.


POBHO is rocked!
McPain misses with a head kick.

McPain has closed the distance and engaged POBHO in a clinch.
POBHO takes a knee right on the jaw!
McPain lands a knee to the body.

McPain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McPain lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
POBHO is still on wobbly legs! Can McPain finish him?
McPain throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by POBHO.
McPain has his takedown stuffed

so POBHO counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
POBHO seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

POBHO drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McPain dives on top into guard.
McPain is looking to stand up but POBHO won't let him.
POBHO wants to sweep here but McPain controlling him for the moment.
McPain trying to control the position from guard on top but POBHO is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McPain thows a big elbow that misses.
McPain wants to get up but he can't break POBHO's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Urist McPain dominated that round.
The cut man is working on BCE POBHO's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McPain lands with a kick to the temple. POBHO shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
McPain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McPain wants it to stay on the feet.
A solid body kick from McPain.
McPain scores with a kick to the body.
POBHO walks forward, straight into a front kick from McPain.
McPain throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

McPain clinches.
McPain with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
McPain connects with a knee to the head.
Stalling in the clinch from McPain.

McPain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
POBHO shoots for a double leg takedown but McPain sprawls well. He's pushed POBHO's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
POBHO on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
McPain throws a combination. POBHO tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McPain lands a two punch combo.
McPain throws a head kick that misses.
McPain works over POBHO's head and body with a nice combination.

POBHO decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
McPain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McPain tries to get out of the position.

POBHO is looking for a kimura here.

POBHO seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. McPain is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
