Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Garnet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Heymen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heymen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Straight Outta Compton- NWA. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Garnet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Heymen! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garnet pushes Heymen up against the cage in a clinch. Heymen missing with knees to the body.
Garnet blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Heymen missing with knees to the body.
Heymen prevents a body shot from Garnet. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Heymen lands a left hand.
The referee is keeping an eye on Heymen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Heymen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Heymen throws a body kick that misses. Garnet circles away from the clinch attempt and Garnet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garnet fails with the takedown. Garnet lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garnet throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heymen's waist but Heymen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garnet off to one side. Heymen explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. A bone on bone clash there as Heymen blocks the leg kick.
Heymen tries to clinch and Garnet counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Heymen throws a sloppy head kick and Garnet moves out of range easily. Heymen tries to clinch but Garnet moves out of range. Garnet swings for the body but Heymen moves out of range.
Garnet shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Garnet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garnet throws a leg kick but Heymen moved away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A bone on bone clash there as Heymen blocks the leg kick.
Heymen getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Garnet is looking to chop away at Heymen's legs. Heymen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Heymen fails in his attempt to clinch. Heymen throws a push kick but Garnet slaps the foot to one side. Heymen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Garnet blocks a head kick by Heymen.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Garnet circles away from the clinch attempt and Garnet counters by moving into the clinch. Garnet misses with a punch on the inside.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Heymen struggles to land a body shot inside as Garnet controls his hands.

Josh Garnet dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Heymen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Heymen misses with a wild body shot. Heymen stuffs the takedown attempt from Garnet. Garnet gets slowly back to his feet. Garnet does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Garnet circles away from the clinch attempt and Garnet counters with a nice body shot. Jonathan Heymen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garnet shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Garnet chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garnet accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Garnet thows a big elbow that misses. Garnet scoring with punches to the head and body. Garnet prevents Heymen from getting back to his feet. Garnet pushes down on Heymen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Heymen is looking for a sweep. Garnet is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Garnet is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Heymen reverses the position - he's now on top in Garnet's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Garnet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Garnet looking for a sweep. Not yet Garnet, not yet. Garnet is working hard here to advance position. Heymen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Heymen slips nicely into half guard. Heymen is stalling here. Garnet is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Heymen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Garnet has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garnet scores with punches from side control. Heymen wants to get back to his feet but Garnet drags him back down. Garnet misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Garnet scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Heymen to see if he's OK. Heymen struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heymen tries to escape but Garnet is in control. Garnet scores with punches from side control. Garnet trying to control the position but Heymen is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Garnet dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Garnet on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Heymen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Heymen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Heymen looks to clinch and Garnet counters with a nice double leg into guard. Garnet is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Garnet got a little sloppy there for a moment and Heymen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garnet has managed to get both his arms back between Heymen's legs - danger averted. Garnet postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garnet keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Heymen's head. Garnet trying to control but Heymen is working from the bottom. Heymen is trying to keep Garnet in close.
Garnet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Heymen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garnet manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Garnet bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Heymen's guard. Garnet in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Heymen pulls Garnet in close to prevent any damage. Garnet landing with the ground and pound. Heymen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Garnet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garnet wants to control but Heymen is having none of it. Heymen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Jonathan Heymen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Heymen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Garnet looks a forlorn figure.
Heymen throwing strikes here but Garnet is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Josh Garnet is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Garnet wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Heymen.
Heymen raining down shots from the mount! Poor strikes thrown by Heymen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Josh Garnet. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garnet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
