Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arcturus Balfour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Rypien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rypien has chosen The Ripper as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Arcturus Balfour could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rick Rypien's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balfour gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Balfour blocks the body kick.
A jab from Rypien does it's job there.
Balfour swings for the body but Rypien moves out of range.
Balfour misses with a few strikes there.
Rick Rypien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rypien tries to work over Balfour's front leg with a kick but Balfour checks it.
Rypien uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Balfour.
Balfour lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rypien scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rypien misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Balfour makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Balfour throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Rypien to counter with a crisp jab.
Rypien looks to clinch
and Balfour counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rypien lands with a kick to the temple. Balfour shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Balfour is rocked!
Rypien scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Balfour doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Balfour is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Balfour is breathing heavily.
Crack! Rypien connects with the perfect overhand right and Balfour falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Rypien!
