Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fails with the takedown. Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ribeiro cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Lee takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ribeiro throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A jab from Ribeiro does it's job there. Lee tries to clinch but Ribeiro is having none of it. Ribeiro lands with an overhand left. Ribeiro tries to clinch up. A cross from Ribeiro lands. Nice sprawl there from Ribeiro as Lee shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ribeiro leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ribeiro connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lee. Lee circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ribeiro scores with a sloppy right hand. Lee should have avoided that one. Ribeiro has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Lee takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ribeiro tries to clinch and Lee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lee. Ribeiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ribeiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ribeiro works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lee won't allow Ribeiro to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee wants to pass the guard but Ribeiro is keeping the position. Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lee won't allow Ribeiro to get back to his feet. Lee wants to pass the guard but Ribeiro is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro avoids it really well and circles away. Ribeiro wants to clinch so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Ribeiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee stopping the sweep attempt from Ribeiro. Ribeiro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee with a flurry of punches that miss. Ribeiro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ribeiro is keeping the position for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ribeiro pushes Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ribeiro works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Ribeiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lee is looking for a triangle but Ribeiro pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribeiro trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom. Ribeiro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ribeiro stopping the sweep attempt from Lee. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gabriel Ribeiro will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ribeiro tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ribeiro drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.
Ribeiro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ribeiro pinned against the cage. Ribeiro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ribeiro fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looks to clinch and Ribeiro counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lee is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Ribeiro shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee is trying to break free. Ribeiro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lee uses from the top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Ribeiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee wants to pass the guard but Ribeiro is keeping the position. Ribeiro has control of Lee's left arm, preventing Lee from doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Ribeiro. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lee clinches but Ribeiro breaks the clinch and Ribeiro counters with a stiff right hand. Ribeiro bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head. Ribeiro tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range. Ribeiro lands a nice hook to Lee's body. Lee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lee tries for a takedown but Ribeiro circles away easily enabling Ribeiro to counter with a crisp jab. Ribeiro clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looks like Michael Lee has been cut. Ribeiro tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it. Lee tries for a takedown but Ribeiro circles away easily and Ribeiro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ribeiro gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ribeiro leaning against his opponent.

Gabriel Ribeiro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Michael Lee's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ribeiro connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lee momentarily.
Ribeiro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ribeiro looks to land a combination but Lee avoids it well. Lee slips a jab and a cross from Ribeiro.

Ribeiro is trying to stand back up but Lee is controlling him
Lee not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ribeiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro is trying to get back to full guard. Lee throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lee with the ground and pound but Ribeiro uses the opportunity to regain guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ribeiro. Ribeiro cracks a nice hook into Lee's ribs. Ribeiro clinches with his opponent.
Lee misses with a hook from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lee is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ribeiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ribeiro closes the distance and pushes Lee back into the cage. Ribeiro lands a takedown into guard.
Ribeiro looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ribeiro wants to stand up but Lee is controlling him. Lee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ribeiro pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage. Lee postures up in Ribeiro's guard and throws a big left but Ribeiro blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ribeiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lee keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ribeiro's head. Lee stopping the sweep attempt from Ribeiro.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Lee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lee misses with a takedown and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gabriel Ribeiro seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Ribeiro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lee tries for a takedown but Ribeiro manages to get underhooks.
Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ribeiro tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ribeiro jabs at Lee's body. Michael Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gabriel Ribeiro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lee misses with a hook. Ribeiro ducked under it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Gabriel Ribeiro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ribeiro winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
