Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bennie Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyoshi Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumoto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Carl Douglas - Kung fu fighting kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bennie Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kiyoshi Matsumoto! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsumoto blocks a jab. Bennie Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matsumoto throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bishop throws a hook to the side of Matsumoto's head but Matsumoto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bishop showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Matsumoto.
Bishop tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matsumoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bishop somewhat. Matsumoto avoids the body shot from Bishop.
Matsumoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bishop circles away quickly and effectively. Bishop avoids the body shot from Matsumoto.
Bishop shoots in but no luck this time. Matsumoto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matsumoto wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bennie Bishop. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bishop takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Good exchange - Matsumoto coming out on top. Bishop thows a body shot but no joy. Bishop fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice jab there from Matsumoto. Bishop shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Matsumoto but Matsumoto pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop misses with a hook. Bishop shoots in for a double leg but Matsumoto sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bishop looks to land a left hand but Matsumoto moved out of range nicely. Bishop throws a half hearted mid kick. Bishop looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Bishop throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Matsumoto sees it coming and avoids it easily. Matsumoto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matsumoto wants it to stay on the feet. Bishop shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matsumoto sprawls well. Matsumoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bishop gets slowly back to his feet. Bishop looks up at the clock. Bad move! Matsumoto lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bishop. Matsumoto pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
