Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cannon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sweet Dreams. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Cannon as he checks the leg kick.
Guevara swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Cannon throws a series of punches but Guevara avoids them all with ease.
Guevara tries a head kick but it misses.
Guevara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Guevara scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Cannon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cannon escapes and gets back to his feet.
Guevara wants to land a leg kick but Cannon is out of range.
A head kick misses from Guevara.
Cannon misses with a takedown attempt - Guevara sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Guevara looks to land a combination. Cannon sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Guevara could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cannon pushes down on Guevara's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guevara pushes Cannon off looking to stand but Cannon dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Guevara moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernesto Guevara will probably get the nod.

Cannon moves into the clinch.
Cannon successfully pulls guard.
Cannon wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Cannon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cannon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Guevara thows a big elbow that misses.
Guevara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cannon on the ground.
Cannon is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guevara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cannon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Guevara looking to sit in guard and control but Cannon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Guevara looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cannon has picked Guevara up and slammed him! Guevara can't keep hold of the triangle and Cannon manages to pass to side control!
Cannon decides to stand back up.
Cannon clinches.
Guevara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cannon smiles and moves away.
Cannon closes the distance and clinches.

Guevara wants to get back to striking at distance but Cannon won't allow it.
Cannon gets control of Guevara's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cannon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Cannon will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Cannon is pulling down on Guevara's head. It's preventing any offense from Guevara, at least for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cannon is trying to control the position but Guevara postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Guevara pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Guevara misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cannon misses with a few strikes there.

so Cannon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cannon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Cannon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brendan Cannon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Guevara gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cannon gets to his feet. Guevara looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Cannon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cannon takes a little break here. Guevara wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Cannon lands a big shot there that rocks Guevara but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cannon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Guevara really wants to buck Cannon off and get back to his feet.

Cannon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brendan Cannon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cannon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
