Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dziuzepe Alminho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Krystov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dziuzepe Alminho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Krystov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krystov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Krystov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alminho lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Alminho thows a big elbow that misses.
Alminho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Alminho preventing the sweep.

Krystov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alminho is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Krystov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alminho's back instead.
Krystov keeps control of the position as Alminho tries to break free.
Alminho grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Krystov doesn't have the hooks in and Alminho manages to turn into his guard.
Alminho throws a strike but Krystov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Alminho looking for a sweep. Not yet Alminho, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Alminho looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Krystov passes into half guard.

Krystov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Alminho tries to get to full guard but Krystov has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krystov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Krystov blocks the strikes from Alminho.
Krystov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Krystov tries to pass to full mount but Alminho defends it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Alminho throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Krystov manages to pass to side control.
Alminho is letting Krystov control him for a moment.
Krystov is looking to take a break and control but Alminho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Krystov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krystov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Alminho misses with a strike from the bottom.
Krystov slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Alminho.
Krystov prevents Alminho from getting the reversal.
Alminho is breathing heavily.
Krystov trying to control but Alminho is having none of it.

Krystov controlling from the full mount.
I looks like Krystov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Alminho tries to improve his position but instead Krystov has taken his back!
Krystov is working the ground and pound. Can Alminho escape?
Krystov doesn't have the hooks in and Alminho manages to turn into his guard.
Krystov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alminho accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Krystov is pulling down on Alminho's head to control his posture.
Krystov keeping full guard, as Alminho tries to pass.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alminho missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Alminho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Krystov is pulling down on Alminho's head. It's preventing any offense from Alminho, at least for the moment.
Krystov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Krystov fails with the takedown

and Alminho counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Krystov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Krystov gets full guard.
Alminho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Krystov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alexander Krystov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Alminho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Krystov shoots in for a takedown but Alminho shows good takedown defense.

Krystov drives through with a takedown into guard.

Alminho has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Krystov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alminho.
Alminho tries to improve position but can't.
Krystov trying to control the position but Alminho is working away.
Alminho is trying to get back to half guard.

Krystov decides to stand back up. Krystov steps back and let's Alminho get back to his feet.

and Krystov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alminho won't be happy with that.

Alminho is trying to improve his position.
Alexander Krystov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Krystov decides to stand back up.
Dziuzepe Alminho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Alminho doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Krystov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Krystov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alminho's guard.
Alminho trying to get back to full guard but Krystov takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Krystov landing strikes from the mount and Alminho is in trouble!
Krystov controlling the pace for now.
Krystov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Alminho is trying to reverse the position but instead Krystov has taken his back - oops!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Krystov working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Alminho is doing well to defend. Krystov seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Alminho is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Krystov!
