Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dorian Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roland Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dorian Walker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roland Smith! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smith scores a takedown into full mount! Smith prevents Walker from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith working for a guillotine from mount but Walker is in no mood to give up. Smith pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Walker is squirming around, avoiding Smith's attempts to control the action. Poor strikes thrown by Smith there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Walker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Walker is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!

Walker lands an elbow to the side of the head. Even with his hooks in, Walker manages to miss with strikes from the back. Walker misses with punches from the back. Smith breaks Walker's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Walker throwing shots but Smith is blocking nicely. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Walker lands a nice short elbow. Walker slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead. Walker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Smith is trying to control but can't.

Walker is squirming around, avoiding Smith's attempts to control the action. Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't. Smith moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Walker has worked his arm free - good work by Walker!
Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smith works to advance to full mount. Walker defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Walker sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Smith uses his free foot to push down on Walker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Walker. Walker can't escape the position.

Smith patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Walker staying busy and making it hard for Smith to control. Smith looking to break Walker's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Walker remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Smith will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Walker tries to roll but Smith sticks to his back.
I would not like to be Walker right now.

Smith really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Walker. Smith controlling well, preventing Walker from escaping the position.

Smith has managed to slip his arm under Walker's chin. This could be all over... yep, Walker is tapping out! Submission win for Smith.
