Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avtomat Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Douglas! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Avtomat Kalashnikov! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kalashnikov was well out of range. Poor timing from Douglas. Kalashnikov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Kalashnikov misses the target. Douglas lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and Douglas counters with a series of strikes. Kalashnikov will be more careful next time no doubt. Kalashnikov misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kalashnikov looks to land a left hand but Douglas moved out of range nicely. Kalashnikov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Douglas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Douglas swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kalashnikov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A slow jab from Douglas misses its intended target. Kalashnikov misses with a straight right. Kalashnikov just misses with a punch to the body.

and Douglas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Douglas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Douglas throws a nice looking combination but Kalashnikov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Douglas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kalashnikov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Douglas counters with a left and a right that stings Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov scores with a punch to the head. Douglas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kalashnikov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov misses with a body shot.
Douglas misses with a wild body shot. Kalashnikov misses with a hook to the body
and Douglas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Douglas avoids the body shot from Kalashnikov.
Kalashnikov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Douglas makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Douglas avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Avtomat Kalashnikov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Douglas drives through and clinches with Kalashnikov against the cage.
It looks like Tony Douglas has been cut. Kalashnikov misses with a body punch.
Kalashnikov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kalashnikov throws a punch but it's blocked by Douglas. Douglas decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Douglas is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kalashnikov frees his head nicely. Oh but Douglas has switched to an armbar! Kalashnikov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
