The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne stuffs the takedown attempt from Mantiega. Mantiega gets slowly back to his feet.
Wayne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mantiega sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mantiega bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wayne's head.
Mantiega wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mantiega misses with a two punch combination.
Wayne checks a leg kick.
Wayne tries to clinch but Mantiega moves out of range.
Mantiega feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wayne's calf.
Mantiega throws a low kick but Wayne avoids it.
Ben Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wayne throws a series of punches but Mantiega moves out of range.
Mantiega lands a body shot.
A shot to the body from Wayne misses
and Mantiega counters with a leg kick.
Wayne missing with a left hand there. Mantiega was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wayne moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wayne is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mantiega scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wayne doesn't seem bothered though.
Mantiega scores with a hook to the body. Wayne takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mantiega lands a nice hook to Wayne's body. Wayne takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mantiega dips to his left and cracks Wayne with an uppercut!
Mantiega pushes Wayne away with a front kick.
Mantiega scores with the left hand. Wayne knows he should have avoided that one.

Wayne is rocked!
Mantiega buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oh Wayne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mantiega is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Wayne rather than just go for the knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mantiega throws an uppercut from hell that sends Wayne clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mantiega stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
