Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Kalashnikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Martin LeRoo! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from LeRoo. LeRoo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than LeRoo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! LeRoo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kalashnikov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kalashnikov and LeRoo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
LeRoo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no LeRoo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kalashnikov is trying to escape and get back to his feet. LeRoo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kalashnikov wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. LeRoo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kalashnikov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. LeRoo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. LeRoo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kalashnikov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in LeRoo's guard! Nice work there by Kalashnikov! LeRoo looks gassed! LeRoo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kalashnikov passes into half guard.
LeRoo is looking for a sweep. Kalashnikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kalashnikov passes to full mount! LeRoo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kalashnikov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov trying to control but LeRoo is having none of it. LeRoo is trying to escape the mount.

Kalashnikov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as LeRoo is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. LeRoo is trying to escape the mount.
Kalashnikov looking to control but LeRoo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. LeRoo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin LeRoo dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kalashnikov throws a right and a left that LeRoo avoids nicely. Martin LeRoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. LeRoo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalashnikov pinned against the cage. Kalashnikov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kalashnikov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kalashnikov works over LeRoo's head and body with a nice combination. LeRoo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kalashnikov misses with a wild combination.
Kalashnikov stalks LeRoo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into LeRoo's face. LeRoo staggers backwards, shaken. LeRoo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kalashnikov avoids it really well and circles away. Andrei Kalashnikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin LeRoo. LeRoo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kalashnikov tries to sprawl out of it but LeRoo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kalashnikov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. LeRoo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kalashnikov. LeRoo closes the distance and clinches up with Kalashnikov, looking for a takedown. LeRoo pushes Kalashnikov against the cage but Kalashnikov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kalashnikov misses with a series of wild punches.
LeRoo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kalashnikov but Kalashnikov pushes him off and we're back to square one. LeRoo is breathing heavily. Kalashnikov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalashnikov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. LeRoo looks to move to half guard but instead Kalashnikov has passed into mount! Damn! LeRoo is looking to get to half guard. LeRoo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kalashnikov controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. LeRoo tries to improve his position but Kalashnikov has taken his back! Kalashnikov has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will LeRoo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Kalashnikov pushes LeRoo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andrei Kalashnikov!
