Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nobunaga Shirow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Nowka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nowka has chosen I Get Knocked Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowka misses with a double jab.
Shirow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nowka sprawls well. Nowka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shirow gets slowly back to his feet.

Nowka throws a right hand that Shirow ducks under and follows up with a left that Shirow also avoids with ease.

Shirow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shirow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

No joy there for Nowka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nowka stuns Shirow with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Oh Shirow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shirow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nowka avoids it really well and circles away.
Shirow seems to have got his legs back now.
Nowka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Shirow throws a sloppy head kick and Nowka moves out of range easily.

Nowka throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nowka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shirow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nowka is fending him off so far but Shirow persists. Nope, Nowka circles away and we're back to standing.

Shirow seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Nowka shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Shirow is backing up but Nowka catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Shirow covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Nowka Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
