Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between ruslan agaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir has chosen Nas - Hate Me Now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
agaev shoots for a double leg takedown but Mir sprawls well. He's pushed agaev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mir lands in his opponent's guard.
agaev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

agaev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
agaev has his foot on Mir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mir works his way back into a safe position though.

Mir sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed agaev's guard.
agaev is looking to control Mir's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can agaev avoid being mounted?
Mir maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! agaev could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mir has cracked it and agaev is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mir!
