Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slick Inakmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus McFight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seamus McFight told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slick Inakmas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seamus McFight! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inakmas drives through and clinches with McFight against the cage.
McFight's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A looping hook to the body misses from McFight. Inakmas does a little dance to reset his feet. McFight misses the shot to the body. Inakmas slips a straight right by McFight. McFight throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Seamus McFight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as McFight blocks the leg kick.
McFight throws a big shot that misses. Inakmas closes this distance looking for a takedown but McFight circles away. Inakmas tries to clinch there but McFight circles away.
Inakmas wants to clinch up but McFight keeps it at a distance. McFight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McFight swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Inakmas clinches. Inakmas lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt McFight or not. McFight is trying to force a seperation but Inakmas has the dominant position. The referee is keeping an eye on Inakmas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Inakmas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Inakmas will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning McFight up against the cage.

Inakmas lands a body shot. A head punch on the inside from McFight fails to land. A left hand lands to the body for Inakmas.

Inakmas lands a nice knee to the body. McFight looks gassed! Inakmas lands on the inside with an uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Inakmas. Inakmas lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Inakmas lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down McFight. McFight blocks an elbow strike. McFight tries to circle away but Inakmas has him pinned against the cage. McFight tries to stall but Inakmas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. McFight is pressed up against the cage. Inakmas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McFight down to the mat. McFight avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Inakmas misses with a takedown attempt - McFight sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slick Inakmas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Inakmas has McFight up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McFight is trying to force a seperation but Inakmas has the dominant position. Inakmas lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McFight backwards. Inakmas lands a hook to the side of the head. Inakmas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. McFight working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Inakmas is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Inakmas throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McFights head. The referee calls for Inakmas to work.
Inakmas unloads a knee to the mid-section. Inakmas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McFight gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Inakmas effectively controlling the action here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Slick Inakmas. Inakmas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McFight stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A shot to the body from McFight misses and Inakmas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McFight blocking the ground and pound attempt from Inakmas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inakmas throws a strike but McFight avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Inakmas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. McFight keeping moving, preventing Inakmas from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inakmas showing good wrestling skills to control the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Inakmas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McFight can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Slick Inakmas just wasn't active enough. Inakmas shoots for a takedown but McFight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Inakmas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McFight. A telegraphed right hand from McFight misses the target. Slick Inakmas dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McFight throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Inakmas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Inakmas looks to throw the jab but McFight is out of range. Inakmas gets the takedown into side control. Inakmas postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Inakmas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McFight sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. McFight tries to buck Inakmas off but Inakmas is having none of it. Inakmas controlling the position from side mount. Inakmas wants to lay and pray for a moment but McFight keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inakmas advances nicely into full mount. Inakmas unloads with some shots from mount but McFight bucks and avoids them well.
Inakmas misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Inakmas is landing with some decent strikes but McFight is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Inakmas landing shots from mount. Inakmas looking to control and managing it successfully. Inakmas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Inakmas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Slick Inakmas dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Inakmas is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McFight to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McFight shrugs it off. Inakmas throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McFight because Inakmas loaded up on that one. Inakmas throws some wild stikes that McFight manages to avoid easily.

McFight tries to hold on but Inakmas pushes him away. Inakmas controlling his opponent. Inakmas throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Inakmas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McFight for as long as he can get away with. Seamus McFight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Inakmas unloads with some shots from mount but McFight bucks and avoids them well.
And that's the end of the fight! Slick Inakmas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Inakmas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
