Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winter is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Winter. Winter is breathing heavily. Johnson gets a clinch. Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.
Johnson looking to control.
Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Winter manages to get himself to full guard.
Johnson slips nicely into half guard. Johnson trying to mount his opponent but Winter defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is taking a breather. Winter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Johnson slows the pace down in half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Micheal Johnson wasn't active enough on the ground. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Andrea Winter has been cut. Johnson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Winter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Winter tries to get out of the position. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Winter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Johnson trying to control the position but Winter is working away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Winter is pushing Johnson's head away, looking to escape. Johnson manages to hold on to the position though. Johnson is staying tight to Winter's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Winter keeps working. Johnson advances to full mount. Johnson working for a submission but Winter is keeping him at bay. Johnson lands a nice shot to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson tries to control but Winter wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A short right from Johnson on the inside. Winter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Johnson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Winter uses from the top position. Johnson pushes Winter off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Winter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Johnson finds it's way round the side to connect with Winter's head. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Winter is not content to let Johnson control the position. Johnson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Micheal Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson wants to control but Winter is keeping him busy. Johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position. A slapping leg kick lands for Johnson.
Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Winter, pushing him back against the cage. Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Winter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Andrea Winter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Winter throws out the jab. Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Winter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Winter pushes him off. Johnson is looking to clinch but Winter is avoiding it.
Winter tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrea Winter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Winter keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Winter looking for a sweep. Not yet Winter, not yet. Johnson trying to control but Winter is working from the bottom. Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winter wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him. Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Johnson forces his way into half guard. Winter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Winter pushes Johnson off but Johnson dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Johnson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Johnson trying to control the action but Winter is working from the bottom. Johnson is staying tight to Winter's torso, preventing him from escaping. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micheal Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andrea Winter's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Winter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Winter can't keep his opponent in guard - Johnson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Johnson trying to control the action but Winter is working from the bottom. Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson moves into full mount! Winter won't be happy about that! Johnson landing strikes from the mount. Johnson working for a guillotine from mount but Winter is in no mood to give up. Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Winter's face.
Winter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winter is squirming around, avoiding Johnson's attempts to control the action. Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Johnson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Winter! Johnson lands a big elbow. Johnson with the ground and pound from mount. Johnson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Winter is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson lands with some strikes. Johnson looking to secure an arm triangle but Winter defends it well. Johnson controlling the position easily from mount. Johnson wants to control the pace but Winter is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling from mount. Winter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Andrea Winter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Micheal Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Johnson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Micheal Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
