Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between mark ecko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and carl webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
webb throws a right and a left that ecko avoids nicely.
webb misses with the combination.
carl webb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
ecko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
webb is refusing to be controlled, as ecko sits in half guard.
ecko is sneakily working for an arm triangle but webb sees it coming and defends easily.

webb is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if webb can do anything to dispel that myth.

ecko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so webb is just riding it out for now. ecko eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
ecko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

webb really doesn't want to stay on the ground with ecko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

ecko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. webb doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time ecko.

webb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but ecko circles away quickly and effectively.

Oh ecko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
webb lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. ecko is looking to close the distance but webb sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! ecko crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope ecko is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
