Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Murdoch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alfred Murdoch had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murdoch looks to score with a jab to the body but Rasputin is just out of range. Murdoch misses with a looping right. Murdoch looks to land a right hand but Rasputin moved out of range. Rasputin fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Murdoch is out of range. Rasputin drives through with a takedown into guard. Rasputin trying to control but Murdoch is working from the bottom. Rasputin looking to pass the guard. Murdoch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rasputin on the ground. Rasputin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rasputin trying to control the position from guard on top but Murdoch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin throwing strikes from guard but Murdoch blocks nicely. Rasputin distracts Murdoch with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rasputin is working Murdoch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rasputin trying to control but Murdoch is working from the bottom. Rasputin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Murdoch looking to control.
Rasputin's corner is telling him to maintain position. Murdoch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Murdoch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Murdoch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Murdoch misses with a hook. The crowd cheers as Rasputin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Murdoch doesn't seem phased though. Murdoch throws a quick inside leg kick. Murdoch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rasputin manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Murdoch. Murdoch throws a lazy right hand but Rasputin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rasputin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Rasputin scores with a punch to the head. Murdoch lands a jab to the head.
Murdoch throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rasputin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Murdoch at a distance.
Murdoch looks to throw the jab but Rasputin is out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rasputin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Rasputin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Rasputin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rasputin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Rasputin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rasputin missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasputin working Murdoch over with strikes. Rasputin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rasputin lands a nice short elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rasputin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murdoch has hold of Rasputin's hands but Rasputin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad Rasputin dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rasputin feints and as Murdoch raises his hands in defense, Rasputin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rasputin stopping the sweep attempt from Murdoch. Rasputin throwing strikes from guard but Murdoch blocks nicely. Rasputin wants to control from the top but Murdoch keeps moving. Rasputin with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rasputin trying to control the position from guard on top but Murdoch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rasputin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rasputin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rasputin slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rasputin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rasputin seems to be looking for submissions.

Murdoch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Murdoch tries to get out of the position. That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Murdoch's head. Rasputin working Murdoch over with strikes. Rasputin throwing shots but Murdoch is blocking nicely. Rasputin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rasputin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Murdoch blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rasputin. Murdoch is not content to let Rasputin control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasputin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Murdoch is looking to escape. Rasputin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rasputin controlling the pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad Rasputin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Rasputin ducks under a wild hook from Murdoch. Rasputin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Murdoch tries to buck Rasputin off but Rasputin is having none of it. Rasputin moves into full mount! Rasputin misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rasputin cracks Murdoch with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rasputin scoring with strikes but Murdoch is staying in there. Rasputin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Rasputin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rasputin controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rasputin thowing shots but they're missing. Rasputin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Murdoch tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rasputin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rasputin lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Vlad Rasputin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rasputin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
