Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vit Tu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apache RAN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blanket On The Ground . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vit Tu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Apache RAN! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! RAN scores with a push kick. Tu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. RAN looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tu misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Tu working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. RAN tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Tu trying to control the position but RAN is working away. RAN trying to control but Tu flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! RAN rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Tu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. RAN wants to improve his position but Tu is controlling well.
Tu content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. RAN controlling the position well. Tu is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. RAN wants to improve his position but Tu is controlling well.
Tu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tu is thwarting RAN's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tu wants to pass to mount but RAN is defending the position. Tu performing his best blanket impression for a moment. RAN trying to control but Tu postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tu is defended easily by RAN. Tu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. RAN lands a high kick!
RAN tries to clinch up. RAN tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. RAN misses with a takedown attempt and Tu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tu. RAN is trying to control the position but Tu postures up. RAN might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tu kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vit Tu will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
RAN misses with a takedown and Tu counters with a takedown into side control. Tu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! RAN is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. RAN tries to get to full guard but Tu has control of the leg. Tu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The referee warns RAN that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tu landing shots from mount. RAN is wriggling around trying to escape.
RAN is breathing heavily. Tu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for RAN because Tu loaded up on that one. Tu controlling the position easily from mount. RAN is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. RAN is looking to improve his position but Tu isn't that keen on the idea. RAN is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tu unloading with bombs! Tu controlling the pace for now. Tu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down RAN for as long as he can get away with. RAN is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Tu thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. RAN keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tu controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. RAN wants to hold on but Tu pushes him away. Tu controlling his opponent. RAN really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
RAN really wants to buck Tu off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vit Tu dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
RAN gets caught flat footed, as Tu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Tu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. RAN is keeping the position for now. RAN avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vit Tu. Tu misses with a takedown attempt and RAN counters with a thumping low kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Apache RAN seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. RAN looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tu preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tu wants to stand up but RAN is controlling him. RAN stands up and waves to Tu to follow him. RAN feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tu wants to stand and escape but RAN is having none of it. RAN decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tu, up you get! RAN shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Tu is trying to stand up here but RAN is controlling him well. RAN wants to stand but Tu has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. RAN throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tu manages to escape and get back to his feet! RAN wants to clinch but Tu slips to the side and Tu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in RAN's guard. RAN trying to keep a closed guard but Tu is proving a slippery customer.
Tu passes RAN's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tu prevents RAN from improving his position. Tu missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Vit Tu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. RAN is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vit Tu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tu not doing much here.
Tu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and RAN defends it well. Tu trying to mount his opponent but RAN defends it. Apache RAN has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tu is just content to waste time from the top position. RAN takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Apache RAN. I think Tu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
