PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Brasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KO Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Brasky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, KO Kane!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane tries to clinch there but Brasky circles away.

Brasky gets a clinch.
Kane throws an elbow that misses.
Kane using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brasky has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Brasky has clasped his hands together around Kane's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Brasky is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Brasky decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kane to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Brasky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kane can't keep his opponent in guard - Brasky advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brasky perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Brasky has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Brasky is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brasky to get the leverage.

Brasky could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brasky prevents Kane from improving his position.
Brasky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane wants to get back to full guard but Brasky has passed into side control.

Brasky is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kane can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane tries to reverse the position but Brasky maintains control.
Brasky lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Kane tries to lock up and control but Brasky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brasky lands a big elbow.
Brasky controlling from the full mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kane wants to control but Brasky is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brasky breaks from Kane's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Brasky dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Brasky moves into range and clinches up with Kane.

Brasky gets control of Kane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brasky will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Brasky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kane is controlling him.
Kane has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brasky is proving hard to escape from.
Brasky pulls Kane in close to prevent any damage.
Brasky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brasky tries to get out of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brasky keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully.
Brasky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kane manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brasky advances to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bill Brasky.

Brasky moves into the clinch.

Brasky tightens his grip and picks Kane up, before dumping him to the ground. Kane manages to land in guard.
Brasky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brasky is controlling him.
Kane is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kane throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brasky escapes and throws Kane's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brasky seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kane for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brasky stands up and beckons Kane to his feet.
Kane tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Brasky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kane won't be happy with that.
Bill Brasky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Brasky has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kane is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Brasky yanks on the arm and Kane is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Brasky.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bill Brasky!
