Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugen Kvaternik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eugen Kvaternik looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eugen Kvaternik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Wallace! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace is looking to clinch. Wallace looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kvaternik! Wallace lands a nice shot to the head. Wallace lands with some strikes. Wallace controlling from the full mount. Wallace's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kvaternik is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kvaternik and Wallace has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Wallace decides to take the fight back to the feet. Kvaternik rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kvaternik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wallace takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Wallace gets a takedown into half guard. Kvaternik is breathing heavily. Wallace looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace decides to return to a standing position. Eugen Kvaternik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kvaternik counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kvaternik. Wallace can't break the clinch.
Kvaternik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kvaternik misses with a low kick. Kvaternik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kvaternik throws a head kick that Wallace semi-blocks.
Kvaternik fails in his attempt to clinch. Wallace changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kvaternik tries to avoid it but Wallace manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kvaternik to the ground. Kvaternik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kvaternik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wallace wants to clinch up but Kvaternik keeps it at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wallace stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Wallace pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wallace gets the takedown into side control. Wallace has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wallace tries to score with some ground and pound. Kvaternik controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Wallace has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kvaternik is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wallace yanks on the arm and Kvaternik is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wallace.
