Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dozer Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Barney Stinson! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz. Stinson misses with a wild combination.
Stinson slips a straight right by Diaz. Stinson tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it. Stinson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Diaz can pounce on him.
Stinson closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Stinson pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Stinson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Diaz throws a leg kick which misses Stinson's front leg but catches the back leg as Stinson tries to avoid it. Stinson shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dozer Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barney Stinson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Diaz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Diaz wants to pass to mount but Stinson is defending the position. Diaz passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz controlling his opponent. Stinson is looking to get to half guard. Stinson is controlling an arm, preventing Diaz from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Stinson throwing hammer fists to the chest of Diaz. What's that going to do exactly? Stinson tries to lock up and control but Diaz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Stinson is trying to reverse the position but instead Diaz has taken his back - oops!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz is riding his opponent, not letting Stinson buck him off. Diaz doesn't have the hooks in and Stinson manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stinson wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz tries to bum rush Stinson with a series of wild strikes but Stinson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dozer Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stinson dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Stinson misses with a takedown and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Diaz is thwarting Stinson's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Stinson is trying to stand up here but Diaz is controlling him well. Diaz not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diaz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Stinson is looking to get back to full guard here but Diaz has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stinson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Diaz.
Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diaz looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dozer Diaz dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Stinson with a lazy takedown attempt and Diaz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stinson thinking. Stinson has his takedown stuffed and Stinson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stinson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Diaz. Dozer Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barney Stinson. Stinson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diaz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stinson misses with a takedown attempt and Diaz counters with a thumping low kick. Diaz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Stinson! Stinson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stinson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. What can Stinson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dozer Diaz just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Stinson darts in trying to clinch and Diaz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stinson's knee momentarily. Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stinson counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stinson misses with a takedown attempt so Diaz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Diaz is stalling in the full guard. Diaz pushing down on Stinson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is controlling the pace.
Stinson is in trouble now - Diaz has advanced to mount! Barney Stinson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diaz controlling the position easily from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Dozer Diaz showed his dominance in that final round. Well Diaz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
