5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alan Crump! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obworth thows a body shot but no joy. Some wild striking there from Crump.
Crump takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Crump throws a push kick but Obworth slaps the foot to one side. Crump misses with a head kick.
Crump tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Obworth is able to avoid easily. Obworth connects with a body shot. Crump throws a head kick that misses. It looks like Alan Crump has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crump fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Obworth checks it well. Jacob Obworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Obworth changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Crump looks gassed! Crump misses with a head kick.
Obworth tests Crump's chin there with a solid looking shot. A lazy left from Obworth finds it's target. Obworth scores with a shot to the body.
Obworth lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Obworth fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crump gets caught flat footed, as Obworth shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Obworth working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Obworth thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Crump really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obworth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Obworth postures up in Crump's guard and throws a big left but Crump blocks it. Obworth throwing strikes but missing. Obworth passes Crump's left leg - he's now in half guard. Obworth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crump is just riding it out for now. Obworth eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crump wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crump avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Obworth. Crump wants to sweep but Obworth has passed to side control! Obworth connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Crump some visible discomfort.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Obworth working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Crump is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Obworth asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Crump tries to bench press Obworth off him but Obworth keeps the position. Crump is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Obworth is trying to control the action in half guard but Crump is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Crump wants to get back to his feet.
Obworth lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Obworth landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A decent looking cross lands there for Obworth. Obworth is looking to wear down Crump with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Crump tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Obworth closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Obworth lands in his opponent's guard. Obworth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crump works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Obworth controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Crump is looking to stand up but Obworth isn't so interested in that idea. Crump wants to hit a switch here but Obworth passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Crump there! Crump is in a horrible position here. Obworth smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obworth looking to control and managing it successfully. Obworth has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Crump's face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Obworth jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Crump is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Crump and Obworth has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Obworth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Obworth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Crump manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are battling for position here. Obworth manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Obworth had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crump defends it easily. Obworth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crump stands up from Obworth's guard - Crump perhaps looking for a knockout.

Obworth backs away looking to recover. Obworth is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crump can do to turn this around? Obworth connects with a body shot. Crump pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Obworth tests Crump's chin there with a solid looking shot. Crump shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Crump gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Obworth to score an easy takedown into full guard. Obworth is looking to work some ground and pound but Crump has wrist control.
