The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cassel wants to get up but he can't break Velasquez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cassel working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Velasquez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cassel off and cradles Velasquez's limp body as Cassel celebrates with his corner.
