The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ganga sprawls well. Ganga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Ganga is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ganga doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ganga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice shot lands for Ganga.
Gracie drops his hands momentarily and Ganga takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Ganga sprawls well.

Gracie feints and as Ganga raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Ganga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ganga manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Ganga's guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ganga dives on top into guard.
Ganga won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.
Ganga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ganga can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gracie has hold of Ganga's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ganga manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Gracie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Gracie is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gracie extends the arm and Ganga is forced to tap!
