PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Hinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gangles McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinton comes to the cage accompanied by Death to All. The crowd seem to be enjoying McGee's choice of entrance music: Rottencore by Spitting Vitriol. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hinton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hinton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hinton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McGee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hinton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hinton is working for a guillotine from mount but McGee frees his head quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hinton postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McGee looks a forlorn figure.

Hinton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McGee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hinton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hinton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hinton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McGee for as long as he can get away with.
