Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Monsoon!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a body shot.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Carl Carter just wasn't active enough.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Monsoon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monsoon off to one side.

and Monsoon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carter's guard.

Monsoon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Monsoon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter is in a horrible position here. Monsoon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Monsoon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Carter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Monsoon.
Carter tries to hold on but Monsoon pushes him away.
Monsoon breaks from Carter's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Monsoon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carter is rocked!
Monsoon cracks Carter with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
