Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvio Riscatelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Russo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Destroy Everything. Riscatelli is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Speak Softly Love. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo throws a looping overhand right but Riscatelli ducks down to avoid it. Russo looks to land a right hand but Riscatelli moved out of range. Russo throws the left hand but Riscatelli avoids the punch easily. Riscatelli avoids the body shot from Russo.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Russo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Riscatelli is controlling Russo's posture. Russo throws a strike but Riscatelli rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Riscatelli stays in close to Russo's body and controls the position. Russo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Riscatelli has his hands on Russo's head, controlling the position. Russo looking to sit in guard and control but Riscatelli gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Russo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Russo checks a leg kick. Riscatelli lands a leg kick that knocks Russo off balance momentarily. Russo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Russo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Crunch! Riscatelli slams his shin into Russo's torso. Riscatelli loads up on a big right hand but Russo slips the punch. Riscatelli avoids the body shot from Russo.

Riscatelli lands with a hook. Russo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Russo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Riscatelli. Russo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Riscatelli in his tracks.

Russo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Riscatelli is not content to let Russo control the position. Riscatelli is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Russo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Russo prevents Riscatelli from improving his position. Riscatelli throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Russo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Russo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Riscatelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Riscatelli wants to clinch up but Russo keeps it at a distance. Russo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Riscatelli shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Russo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Riscatelli. Russo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Russo just misses with a punch to the body.
Russo looks to throw the jab but Riscatelli is out of range. The fighters circling - Russo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Riscatelli with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Russo to score with a decent uppercut. Riscatelli misses with a wild body shot. Riscatelli displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Russo throws out the jab. Russo throws a lazy right hand but Riscatelli sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Riscatelli counters with an inside leg kick. Russo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Riscatelli lands with a kick to the ribs.
