PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Steinhauser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Pingshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steinhauser comes into the arena with Necro - poetry in the streets blaring out of the sound system. Pingshaw comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Heart of a Champion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Terrance Pingshaw will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terrance Pingshaw!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pingshaw avoids the head kick by Steinhauser.
Steinhauser looks for the body kick but Pingshaw saw that one coming.
Steinhauser displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pingshaw.
Pingshaw blocks a head kick by Steinhauser.
Steinhauser throws a head kick but Pingshaw moves out of range.

Pingshaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Steinhauser moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Steinhauser misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steinhauser throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pingshaw's head.

Pingshaw darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Pingshaw is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Steinhauser defends it well.

Pingshaw is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Steinhauser has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pingshaw looks gassed!

Pingshaw wants to work for an arm triangle but Steinhauser is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Steinhauser might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Steinhauser wants to get back to his feet but Pingshaw is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pingshaw drops back looking for a leg! Steinhauser is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steinhauser manages to kick Pingshaw off! Pingshaw jumps back into Steinhauser's guard.

Pingshaw is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Pingshaw is breathing heavily.
Pingshaw moves forwards but Steinhauser connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pingshaw closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steinhauser circles away.
Pingshaw fails with a takedown attempt.
Steinhauser throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hans Steinhauser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steinhauser throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Steinhauser throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Steinhauser pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steinhauser bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Pingshaw shoots in and gets a takedown into Steinhauser's guard.
Steinhauser is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pingshaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steinhauser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Steinhauser pulls Pingshaw in to control the position.

Pingshaw drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pingshaw as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Steinhauser screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pingshaw! Nice submission victory there!
