3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas Hall! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddel shoots for a double leg takedown but Hall sprawls well. He's pushed Liddel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hall gets the takedown into side control. Liddel is looking to reverse the position. Hall passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Liddel! Liddel wants to get back to his feet.
Hall controlling his opponent. Liddel is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Liddel is looking to escape. Hall in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Liddel is bucking up trying to escape but Hall cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Liddel is in a horrible position here. Hall smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Liddel is breathing heavily. Hall looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hall lands a nice shot to the head. Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liddel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. A nice elbow there by Hall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hall tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Liddel wants to control but Hall is having none of it. Hall sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Hall is landing with some decent strikes but Liddel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hall controlling the position easily from mount. Hall scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Liddel?

Hall is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Liddel is surviving well by controlling Hall's body position as best he can. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hall postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Liddel looks a forlorn figure.

Dallas Hall dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hall shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hall slips a nice elbow through Liddel's hands, connecting with Liddel's forehead. Hall content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hall is keen to just control but Liddel is a slippery customer. Dallas Hall has got the better of the ground game so far. Hall frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. BOOM! Hall connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Liddel takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hall lands a nice shot to the head. Hall content just to control the position here. Hall landing strikes from the mount. Liddel is working to get back to half guard.

Dallas Hall has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Liddel tries to sprawl but Hall drives through with a takedown into half guard. Hall performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hall lands a nice short elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Liddel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hall is pressing down on Liddel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Liddel is holding on for now. Hall has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hall not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dallas Hall hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hall trying to control but Liddel is working from the bottom. Hall's corner is telling him to maintain position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dallas Hall has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dallas Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Hall tests Liddel's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hall works his way into side control. Hall cracks Liddel with a big right hand but Liddel just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hall is staying tight to Liddel's torso, preventing him from escaping. Hall lands a decent elbow from side control. Liddel prevents Hall from improving position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hall tries to advance to mount but can't.

And that's the end of the fight! Dallas Hall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
